Hi all,
I have wks pro 12.5.7 build-5813279 running on a Windows 7 64-bit host. Guests are CentOS 6.9: a GUI desktop and a couple of headless servers, all up to date and all on the *bridged* network. The Linux desktop VM is on DHCP, but the servers have reserved static addresses.
I appear to have lost network communication between the host and the guests - only the workstation console windows and VNC (to the GUI) seem to work. The guests can communicate fine with any other computer on my local net, they can reach the internet, and the servers are accessible remotely from the internet. Between the host and the guests however, each side claims the other is unreachable.
This appears to have started with installation of the February Windows updates ... but that may be just a coincidence. I've checked all the Vmware network and guest VM settings, and all the guest OS configurations - they all are correct AFAICT. Restarting the guests and/or the host does not help.
The host is running latest Comodo firewall and Avast AV. Windows own firewall is disabled (and always has been). Avast also was updated recently (prior to the Windows updates), but everything worked following that update. In any event. disabling both AV and firewall on the host did not help.
At this point, I'm completely stumped. Has anyone else seen this before? Is there something I can look for?
Thanks,
George
