dear professionals
I can not ping my public IP from a VM machine.
her is the scenario:
- I using physical laptop which hosts vm machine (win 2008)
- I can access internet from my laptop via wireless Access point.
- I can access internet from vm machine (win 2008)
- I can ping the access point + the public ip from my physical laptop but I can not ping the access point + the public ip from the vm machine.
- all firewalls are off
- my laptop uses ip 192.168.0.11 and the vm machine uses ip 192.168.237.100 ( i know they are two different networks but i couldnt change the vm network to be same subnet as physical network.
- i tried to change the vm adapter from NAT to bridge but then i could not login to the host via vsphere web client.
- i can not make the subnet of virtual network as same as the physical network.
Please tell me what to change to ping the the public ip from the vm machine because i need to set up some name server records on the DNS.
