After having installed workstation ver 9 it appears to have wiped out the ability to modify or even access networking on the FC16 host. This is somewhat selective since I am accessing this discussion via firefox on the host. The VM created was winxp SP3 and it works fine. In fact it seems to run windows better than windows does by itself. But the problem now is when I need to do software updates on the host it doesn't see a network to access the updates, so this seems to be selective as to what part of the network doesn't work. Installed WS9 using only the --console option. Sorry if this seems lengthy but wanted to make sure all the facts were presented. The other issue is launching - have to do it from a terminal window - otherwise get "failed to execute child process "@@BINARY@@ no such file or directory
Can anybody point me in the right direction?
