Workstation 10 - Share Virtual Machine Wizard error - "A datastore is not configured for the specified configuration file"

Hi,

Using Workstation 10.0.1 build-1379776. Host Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate.

Trying to configure WSX Server to run on my local network using the download "VMware-WSX-Server-1.0.2-928297.msi". A pre-requisite is that the virtual machines need to be shared.  There was initially no path to the virtual machines to be shared, so I entered one in the Edit > Preferences > Shared VMs dialog tab. This preference was set and saved OK.

When I try to set a virtual machine to "Shared" state I get the error:  "A datastore is not configured for the specified configuration file"

I can find no documentation of this, and nothing relevant in the knowledge base or google.
