I have Wkstn 10 running on CentOS 6 with 5 VM's all using bridged network. 3 are on "Bridged", and 2 are on "vmnet1". For some reason the names change when the VM is moved to shared. Otherwise the choices are vmnet0 and vmnet1. At any rate I keep seeing eth1 entering and leaving promiscuous mode in the logs but I never see this for eth0. Can anyone give me clue why this is happening or if I should take any action? I'm guessing my NetOps people will want to avoid promiscuous if at all possible.
