VM Workstation 10 - Shared Guest - Does the guest gracefully shutdown with host?

Hello all...

I am evaluating VMware Workstation 10 for a client and need to know if the guest OS shuts down gracefully when the host initiates a restart or shut down command.  The guest is a SHARED VM (to enable startup as a service) and has an SQL database on it which needs to stay intact if the host shuts down (UPS shuts down the host in the event of extended power outage.)
