Workstation breaks host drag functionality

Sorry if this has been posted before. I did a search and found other issues relating to host/VM drag and drop issues (which I also get at times), but this one is different. Every other day, or so, my host computer loses the ability to drag and drop files. Completely. I'm talking, even lose the ability to relocate a desktop shortcut on my host computer. There are a couple of others in my office with Worstation installed, and they get the same thing. This appeared in Workstation 7 and has remained through v8, even when applied to a freshly imaged computer and a fresh Workstation 8 install.

NOTE: All affected systems are domain-joined, Windows 7 (x64) Professional with McAfee VirusScan Enterprise and Altiris DAgent (in case that matters).

This happened to me about 20 minutes ago. At that time, I only had a basic Windows XP Professional (32-bit) VM running and snapshotting. However, the issue remained even after I closed that final, remaining VM. I even closed VMWare Workstation and the issue still remained. The method for fixing this is to choose the "Exit Workstation" option from the notification tray icon ("vmtray.exe"). As soon as that final VMWare process dies, my computer is back to normal. Prior to discovering this, we were all restarting our computers... which is not cool.

Anyone seen this? Know a fix for me?

Thanks
