Hi All,
i have installed vmware workstation 9 on windows 7, installed Red Hat Linux 5 64-bit and on top of that installed my customized kernel 2.6.32 version.
installation went fine but when ever i reboot the server its hitting kdb and showing message like"kernel panic - not syncing : Attempted to kill init"
and its working fine with kernel 2.6.18 version.
clarification i need:
1.which scenario kernel will kill?
2.how to mount initrd manually if it fails at booting time or not able to find root path?
i am waiting for your responses.............................
