Why so many Generic bus devices?

I've got perhaps 100 Generic Bus devices listed and 50 or so PCI Express standard Root Ports listed in this VM.  Windows 7 SP1

I noticed this while trying to fix a problem with my network card not connecting in bridged mode.

Any ideas what I should do to fix?
