I am new to VMware so this is quite troublesome and confusing to me. I am using a host computer with Win7 Pro and using VMware Workstation 10 running Win7 Pro and Windows Server 2008 R2. When I try to locate the DNS server an error message appears stating it cannot locate the server. I have tried using all three network types: Bridged, NAT and Host-only. Would be easier to obtain the DNS server automatically or should I manually input the address of 127.0.0.1? My professor has not been helping at all. He states I should read the book (lab manual) but it does not help much. I am trying to learn the virtual aspect to eventually setup a SOHO network at home. If more info is needed please let me know.
